Securing the National Health Service

Abstract

Mention IT and the healthcare industry, and you’d probably think about the increasing use of PCs and PC-driven technology in the clinical healthcare environment, as well as the gradual computerisation of medical records and the lab systems behind the scenes in many hospitals. But along with the pervasive progression of technology in hospitals and allied healthcare premises has come the inevitable parallel problem of IT security in all its shapes and forms.
